Feature: We Are Internet Based Moms

Internet based moms are those of us that have our own online businesses.  We do different things to make money, but we have one thing in common.  We all have websites.

The idea of building a website may seem like a daunting task.  You might think that you need to learn HTML or some other kind of code.  Today, you don’t even have to know what HTML is.

There are some excellent companies that provide webhosting and everything that you need to build a website.  But, building the site is only part of the equation.

You also need to know how to build your business.  Building the website is the easy part with today’s software.  Unless you learn how to drive traffic to the site, you have a hobby, not a source of income.

Taking care of our kids is our first priority.  Many of us gave up promising careers, because we felt it was more important to be with our children full-time during their formative years.

The thought of working a part-time job may have crossed your mind.  That would mean that when Dad comes in the door, you head out.  That’s not a good option if your marriage is important to you.

It is also one of the reasons that the number of work from home moms is growing.  In fact, our numbers have grown so much that we have our own acronym.  It’s WAHM (work-at-home-moms).

Some of us tried selling jewelry or Avon.  We hosted parties and did presentations in our homes.  Not only were those things less than profitable, they disrupted our family time.

With an online business, it is possible to work whenever you choose.  You can work during the baby’s naptime, after the kids are in bed or while they are at school.  You can put in as many or as few hours as you like and you will still earn money.

You can become one of the successful work from home moms.  The first step is to find a product that includes everything that you need to do it.

Don’t invest in site-building software until you have done some shopping around.  An all inclusive program is the best choice.

You want to keep your start-up costs as low as possible.  If you choose one company for hosting and another for software, then you will spend more than you need to.

Internet based moms also need marketing advice when they are starting out.  The best programs provide that, too.
